⚡ AI Entrepreneur Story Of The Week!

He wants to make building apps as easy, and quick, as ordering a pizza…

This week’s Story Of The Week goes to - Sachin Dev Duggal, founder of Builder.ai.

Credits: Entrepreneur

Duggal founded Builder AI in 2016, as part of his mission to make creating apps accessible for all, regardless of their technical know-how. The platform allows users to experiment, prototype, test, and deploy apps through a low-code interface.

It has a simple goal, but follows a powerful philosophy: Sell shovels in a gold rush. While everyone is trying to make the newest AI tool, Duggal is building the tools to do so, and that has raised him over $450 Million and landed his company a spot on Fast Company's Annual List of the World's Most Innovative Companies for 2023.

👆 My #BuildInPublic Feature

This one is pretty epic! Yucheng (@lycfyi) has been building getQR.ai in public, which is an awesome tool that uses AI to stylize QR codes. And when I say beautify, I mean create STUNNING QR codes. So far the tool is in the early stages of launching, but you can still get some amazing results. I don’t even know what some of them link to, but I just want to scan them!

🔨 Amazing AI Projects Worth Looking Into

Project #1: SimplyCodes (@teamSimplyCodes)

SimplyCodes is a ChatGPT plugin that allows you to help you shop efficiently, by scouring the web for coupons and deals! It’s a nifty project, but it will definitely be saving people a ton of money.

Project #2: CodiumAI by Itamar & Dedy (@itamar_mar)

Codium is revolutionizing code integrity by combining artificial and human intelligence. Their IDE extension generates tests and code explanations, empowering developers to build faster and error-free software. It saves developers' time, explores all edges, and creates a new era of efficient, bug-free software development.

Project #3: AI artwork by OrctonAI (@OrctonAI)

Not an actual tool, but I will consider it a project! Orcton has been creating beautiful gothic and cyberpunk styled images using MidJourney. As always, I can’t get enough of AI art, so you’ll likely be seeing more of these every week. Do go and check out his work!

🗞 Last Week’s AI News Roundup

The Headliner: U.S. AI Tech Moving To China?

Chinese President Xi Jinping was in talks with Bill Gates on welcoming U.S. firms, including Microsoft, to China with their AI tech. The Chinese President has previously mentioned that China is seizing opportunities with AI to drive economic development - we could see interesting diplomatic developments...

Godfather of AI says AI will surpass human intelligence

While I’ve heard of at least 3 ‘AI Godfathers’, Meta’s chief AI scientist, Yann LeCun, has claimed that AI surpassing human intelligence won’t be a case anytime soon. In fact, not pushing the boundaries of AI would be a mistake.

Huge news from NVIDIA’s Jensen Huang on the future of AI

Jensen Huang’s keynote speech for Nvidia at Computex 2023 in Taiwan unveiled significant breakthroughs in the future of technology powered by AI. I’d highly recommend checking this out to see how AI is reshaping the future.

🌎 AI Market Insights

(For the investors out there)

Back with another lesson on the AI market, this time more so to help you understand what the market comprises of so you can make informed decisions.

The AI market can be fundamentally divided into 3 main categories:

  1. Hardware (E.g. Computer chips, Nvidia)

  2. Software (E.g. AI tools like Character.ai)

  3. Services (E.g. AI automation agencies, MorningSide AI)

When considering your options, just balance two things - Investment goals and risk tolerance. For example, investing in a hardware company like Nvidia tends to be more stable and lower risk, while investing in a new AI software startup that brings huge margins can have higher returns with higher risk.

If you’re in the market for those new gems, there’s tons of opportunity around. Get in touch with me on Twitter, I’m sure I can point you to the right places!
